About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Answer calls in a timely, positive manner and provide exceptional customer service
Receive inbound calls from claimants, attorneys, vendors, brokers, Third Party Administrators, and agents regarding claims
Make outbound calls to policyholders, claimants, and adjustors to obtain additional claim-submission information
Receive and record potential claims by phone and email
Research requested information and provide accurate, detailed responses based on protocol
Complete call notes and reports and update Claims’ Systems with comments, inquiries, complaints, and actions taken
Route calls to team members and departments when necessary
Escalate customer concerns as needed
Work the available 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CST shift

Requirements

What you’ll need

General understanding of insurance coverage, including claimant and type of claim
Detail-oriented, with careful attention to spelling, punctuation, grammar, and information
Compassionate, patient, and professional
Basic computer knowledge, including using multiple screens and systems
Flexible and open to change
Excellent research and interpersonal skills
Experience in customer service
