About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Remotely oversee a team of 5 to 6 adjusters handling non-litigated property damage liability claims
- Ensure appropriate claim handling and decision-making
- Review and edit positional correspondence
- Perform administrative responsibilities associated with team management
- Activate and assign claims to team members
- Ensure direct reports follow in-house processes, including escalated claim review, settlement authority requests, and legal review submissions
- Work with in-house counsel to interpret policy coverages and jurisdictional impact on claims
- Review large losses with the Claims Manager and at Roundtable meetings
- Review estimates, evidence, and expert reports
- Identify subrogation potential or fraud alerts and make appropriate referrals
- Return adjuster escalated calls
- Train new team members
- Conduct employee performance reviews
- Provide continuous coaching and support for direct reports
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 5 years handling general liability property damage and auto claims
- Significant supervisory experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong technological and computer skills
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize
- Self-motivated; works independently with minimal to moderate supervision
- Bachelor’s degree or higher required
- Active adjuster licenses
