About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead regulatory rate filings and system rate implementations for commercial lines
  • Lead the current-state filings capability and execute a long-term filings transformation roadmap
  • Partner across Pricing, Product, Technology, and the Department of Insurance
  • Improve efficiency, quality, and regulatory responsiveness
  • Identify opportunities to use automation, artificial intelligence, and modern analytical tools
  • Establish peer-review and governance practices and resolve process gaps
  • Represent THREE with regulators, auditors, and external partners as needed
  • Contribute to rate indications, reserving analyses, profitability studies, and other actuarial projects across BOP, Umbrella, Workers' Compensation, and Commercial Auto
  • Support diverse products including liquor liability and catastrophe-exposed perils
  • Develop and implement improved methods and processes to enhance team effectiveness
  • Present analyses and recommendations clearly to influence decisions across all levels
  • Partner with underwriting and product teams
  • Serve as a technical resource in the development and testing of rating and policy administration systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Prior experience with rate filings
  • Passing the CAS Ratemaking exam (Exam 5 — Basic Ratemaking and Estimating Claim Liabilities) preferred
  • 3+ years of actuarial pricing/reserving experience in Property & Casualty insurance
  • Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, VBA, or similar data analysis tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong technical expertise and ownership from analysis through implementation
