About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead work on one or more state filings initiatives
  • Mentor, coach, and train filing analysts
  • Research and analyze product compliance with state insurance laws and provide guidance to management
  • Conduct filing activity in SERFF
  • Respond to regulatory objections and communicate with state insurance departments
  • Inform Product and Underwriting teams of changes in forms and other compliance issues
  • Collaborate with Compliance teams to keep customer assessments and surcharges current across systems
  • Oversee annual compliance filings, including GA Schedule Mod, and ensure completion in SERFF
  • Coordinate workers’ compensation updates stemming from bureau or NCCI filing changes
  • Track ISO changes for Businessowners policies and coordinate implementation
  • Perform quality control checks
  • Manage California Public Utilities Commission filings and establish WC Bureau accounts as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Word
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Aptitude for managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and math skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent of combined education and experience
  • 3+ years of state product filings experience in the P&C industry
  • Position may be remote
  • Travel 1 to 2 times per year as required
