About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform the group consolidation and produce consolidated financial statements at year end
- Produce technical accounting papers supporting complex technical judgements, including management papers for the year end audit
- Liaise with divisional finance teams to solve accounting queries
- Manage external auditors to ensure a smooth year end audit process
- Assist with implementing new accounting standards and ensure IFRS compliance
- Maintain the Group Accounting Manual and ensure accounting policies are reflected throughout group reporting
- Support the ongoing entity rationalisation project
- Prepare subsidiary financial statements in compliance with Companies Act 2006 and relevant UK GAAP
Requirements
What you’ll need- Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA or ACCA)
- Recent experience in auditing or preparing financial statements for a large group
- Sound understanding of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements
