About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Independently manage the tax affairs of the Bikeleasing Group, initially focusing on Germany and progressively expanding into international matters
  • Prepare tax returns, tax filings, and applications for input VAT refunds and withholding tax refunds accurately and on time
  • Be responsible for tax calculations in accordance with HGB and the IFRS reporting package for the parent company
  • Monitor, document, and continuously optimize intra-group transfer pricing
  • Provide expertise on VAT-related matters and during tax audits
  • Act as the central point of contact for specialist departments, external tax advisory firms, and authorities, resolving complex tax issues
  • Further develop international tax matters and tax processes in coordination with relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate with external tax advisory firms, specialist departments, authorities, and the parent company
  • Undertake occasional business travel

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed degree in business administration, economics, or law with a focus on taxation, or an equivalent qualification
  • At least five years of professional experience in a company’s tax department or at an auditing or tax advisory firm
  • In-depth knowledge of German tax law and, ideally, international tax law
  • Practical experience with accounting in accordance with HGB and, ideally, knowledge of IFRS
  • Familiarity with group structures and the associated financial reporting requirements
  • Successfully passed German Tax Advisor examinations preferred
  • Structured and precise way of working
  • Confident manner when dealing with authorities and external partners
