About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the design, development, enhancement, deployment, and support of Workday integrations, Orchestrations, Build (Extend) applications, and automation initiatives
Provide day-to-day technical leadership, guidance, work assignment, peer review, and quality assurance for Workday developers
Design, develop, deploy, and maintain integrations using Workday Studio, REST/SOAP APIs, Core Connectors, and EIBs
Build and enhance Workday Build (Extend) applications to automate and streamline business processes
Configure and support Workday Orchestrations and Agents
Develop calculated fields, custom reports, dashboards, and data solutions
Establish development standards, best practices, documentation, integration runbooks, and configuration standards
Conduct code reviews, integration reviews, and solution walkthroughs
Collaborate with HR, Finance, Payroll, IT, vendors, PMO, and HRIS leadership on scalable Workday solutions and delivery planning
Troubleshoot and resolve integration, automation, and data issues across Workday environments
Support bi-annual Workday release readiness, regression testing, and deployment
Ensure Workday data governance, security, privacy, and compliance
Mentor and coach developers and HRIS analysts
Provide input into performance feedback, development planning, and skills assessments
Participate in early adopter programs, partner initiatives, and evaluations of new Workday features and technologies
Champion collaboration, accountability, innovation, and organizational core values
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Senior-level experience developing and supporting Workday integrations, automation, and platform solutions
Experience with Workday Studio, REST/SOAP APIs, Core Connectors, and EIBs
Experience building and enhancing Workday Build (Extend) applications
Experience configuring and supporting Workday Orchestrations and Agents
Experience developing complex calculated fields, custom reports, dashboards, and data solutions
Knowledge of data governance, security, privacy, and compliance standards within Workday
Ability to conduct code reviews, integration reviews, and solution walkthroughs
Ability to troubleshoot complex integration, automation, and data issues across Workday environments
Ability to support bi-annual Workday releases, including readiness activities, regression testing, and deployment
Experience creating technical documentation, integration runbooks, and configuration standards
Ability to provide technical leadership, mentorship, and oversight to developers and HRIS analysts
Ability to collaborate with HR, Finance, Payroll, IT, vendors, PMO, and HRIS leadership
Ability to support project intake, effort estimation, sequencing, and delivery planning
