About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own end-to-end execution of assigned technical programs and Strategic Programs/Initiatives from scope definition through delivery
  • Use AI tools to track workstreams and flag risks before they become blockers
  • Convert scattered open items into structured plans with owners, dates, and dependencies, and drive them to closure
  • Build and maintain project plans, timelines, and status reporting for technical initiatives and Billtrust's internal AI development portfolio
  • Partner with engineering teams on architecture, trade-offs, and constraints
  • Translate technical complexity into plain-language updates for non-technical stakeholders and leadership
  • Use AI co-work agents to draft technical documentation, meeting summaries, and status updates
  • Identify and resolve cross-team dependencies
  • Maintain a real-time view of program health and flag risks to leadership
  • Build reporting and dashboards using AI tools to synthesize data from multiple systems
  • Support the Strategy Office in scaling program management capacity

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IT/Data, or Engineering
  • 3–5 years of experience in technical program or project management, ideally supporting engineering or product teams, or recent graduate with strong internship or co-op experience in the same
  • Demonstrated ability to build AI into personal and team workflows to plan, track, and report on programs
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and structuring loosely defined asks into plans with clear owners and dates
  • Working technical fluency, including substantive conversations with engineers about architecture and trade-offs
  • Track record of taking ownership of open items and driving them to closure
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and executive audiences
  • Preferred: experience supporting AI product builds or technical transformation initiatives
  • Preferred: background in a high-growth or PE-backed environment
  • Preferred: PMP, CSM, or equivalent program management certification
