About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and maintain relationships with prescribers, retailers and key decision-makers across Veterinary and Agricultural Trade sectors in Leinster/East Coast
  • Drive sales growth and market penetration to achieve company targets
  • Manage designated Key Accounts alongside territory responsibilities
  • Ensure financial targets for the territory and delegated Key Accounts are achieved
  • Track customer ordering through the online portal
  • Update Salesforce CRM daily and achieve customer-contact activity targets
  • Agree and review quarterly business plans with A and B customers
  • Attend sales meetings, training, exhibitions and trade shows
  • Plan calls to optimise territory coverage
  • Analyse account and territory performance using sales data and CRM reporting tools
  • Collaborate with marketing on campaign design and implementation
  • Gather product testimony from retailers and end users
  • Report Pharmacovigilance issues within 24 hours
  • Deliver CPD training via Teams or in person
  • Share best practices and competitor information with the Ireland Sales team
  • Seek new business opportunities across the territory
  • Execute seasonal campaigns and maintain account stock levels
  • Monitor debt management within the territory
  • Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and stakeholders
  • Manage and develop a portfolio of Bimeda Key Accounts
  • Lead commercial negotiations, pricing, data management, communications and account planning
  • Develop and review Strategic Account Plans aligned with company objectives and growth targets
  • Provide monthly updates on delegated Key Account performance, initiatives, campaigns and activities
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to support Key Account activity
  • Support Bimeda’s growth strategy, technology and process improvements, product introductions, product access, efficiency and profitability

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree (Business or related field preferred), a veterinary or agricultural-based qualification, or equivalent relevant experience in animal health, veterinary or agricultural sectors
  • Knowledge of the Animal Health and Veterinary Medicine markets
  • Direct experience working with retailers or within the agricultural trade viewed positively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Experience with, or ability to quickly learn, Salesforce
  • Confidence adopting and using new digital tools and sales technology
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full, valid driving license
  • Ability to travel regularly across the Leinster/East Coast area in Ireland
  • Desirable: experience of field-based territory management
  • Desirable: experience in or exposure to Key Account Management or strategic/complex accounts
  • Desirable: product knowledge of animal health or veterinary pharmaceuticals
  • Desirable: familiarity with Salesforce or comparable CRM platform
  • Desirable: farming background and familiarity with livestock
