About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the senior technical voice in the sales process, leading security, integrations, and technical-architecture conversations with prospective customers and IT/security teams
- Support strategic and enterprise deals by building relationships with technical stakeholders and acting as their technical partner throughout the sale
- Run technical discovery and solution architecture, mapping Binti to each agency’s systems, data, and workflows
- Own technical RFP responses and security questionnaires, and build technical-win plans
- Partner with Product to develop reusable demo resources, environments, scripts, realistic data, and profiles
- Build scalable playbooks, templates, reference architectures, RFP and security-response libraries, and demo scripts for Government Sales Managers
- Partner with Sales on deal qualification, technical feasibility, and pipeline strategy
- Partner with Integrations and Customer Delivery to ensure scoped solutions are deliverable and hand off cleanly into implementation
- Champion security and privacy, including HIPAA compliance for sensitive data
- Synthesize field learnings into structured product feedback
- Use AI tooling and curated knowledge bases to draft RFPs, security questionnaires, and design documents
- Coordinate technical narratives for strategic state-level RFPs across Product, Engineering, and Security
- Navigate customer security reviews and integration-architecture Q&A to unblock deals
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 8 years of experience, including prior experience as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect at a cloud or SaaS company
- Government-tech or government sales experience ideally, with familiarity with public-sector procurement, security, compliance, and multi-stakeholder deals
- Excellent objection handling and ability to serve as the technical voice in executive customer conversations
- Adaptability, resilience, results orientation, ownership, and urgency
- Deep product and technical knowledge; fluency in APIs, integrations, data, and security
- Cross-functional collaboration across sales, product, delivery, and security
- Track record of building technical trust and making customers happy
- Ability to create reusable resources and avoid becoming a single point of failure
- Storytelling ability and understanding of compelling sales narratives
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical government buyers
- Comfort with legacy and government systems and their tradeoffs
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong technical writing for RFPs
- Comfortable with up to 25% travel
- SF Bay Area or Seattle preferred where possible, but not required; remote welcome for the right candidate
- Interest in Gen AI; experience and judgment with Gen AI a big plus
- Integrations experience, startup experience, and relevant certifications or continued education are nice to have
- Passion for using technology to improve outcomes for children and families in the child welfare system
- Authorization to work in the United States
