Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contribute to the development, integration, and testing of emerging technology products
  • Perform hands-on development engineering for products integrating sensor, algorithmic, and agentic technologies
  • Write and test code for agent backend components, APIs, and tool integrations
  • Investigate technical issues, review outputs from partner teams, and document findings
  • Translate requirements into implementation and testing tasks with guidance
  • Communicate results to the team
  • Contribute a backend component, integration, prototype, or testing tool
  • Document code, test results, known limitations, and recommended follow-up work
  • Help build agent backend services or utilities connecting agents to tools, managing execution, capturing results, and supporting repeatable testing
  • Test digital health technology data reception, structuring, completeness, and consistency
  • Assist with model or algorithm integration into product components and test interfaces, outputs, and error handling
  • Build automated checks or utilities for reviewing test results, defects, and technical dependencies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in computer science, software engineering, data science, biomedical engineering, or a related field
  • Experience programming in Python or another relevant language
  • Applied software development, data analysis, or machine learning skills through coursework, research, personal projects, or prior work
  • Familiarity with Git, APIs, backend development, or automated testing is helpful
  • Interest in AI agents and digital health technologies
  • Ability to explain work clearly, document findings, and collaborate with people with differing expertise
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college, university, or skills program/apprenticeship
  • 6-month student role from January through June 2027
