About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a credible medical/scientific expert engaging Key Medical Experts and healthcare professionals on disease states and Biogen therapies.
- Build deep, strategic, long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as a responsive, solutions-driven partner to leaders in the medical community.
- Engage in projects and initiatives aligned to US Medical strategy, objectives, and tactics.
- Deliver against KME engagement plans in collaboration with field and non-field colleagues.
- Navigate medical resources at healthcare offices.
- Capture and report KME/HCP medical insights using Veeva.
- Meet qualitative and quantitative medical excellence goals, standards, and measurements.
- Help inform medical and clinical strategies and support improved patient outcomes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced Scientific or Clinical degree is required (NP, PA); Doctoral level degree strongly preferred (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP).
- 3+ years of Rheumatology/Dermatology Medical Science Liaison experience is required.
- Must reside within the boundaries of the California territory; location in either the San Francisco or Los Angeles areas preferred.
- Able to travel at least 60% of the time, including overnight and occasional weekend travel.
- Must be 18 years of age or older with valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
- Must have authorization and ability to drive a company leased vehicle or rental.
- Preference for clinical experience and subject matter expertise in systemic and/or cutaneous lupus (CLE).
- Effective communication skills.
- Comfortable using and experimenting with technology and learning new tools and systems.
- Ability to reliably meet goals, metrics, and KPIs.
- Understanding of industry rules and commitment to ethical compliance.
