About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a credible medical/scientific expert engaging Key Medical Experts and healthcare professionals
- Increase confidence in clinical decisions related to disease state and Biogen products
- Build deep, strategic, long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Act as a responsive, solutions-driven partner to leaders in the medical community
- Engage in projects and initiatives aligned to US Medical strategy, objectives, and tactics
- Deliver against qualitative and quantitative medical excellence goals, standards, and measurements
- Navigate resources at offices in collaboration with field and non-field colleagues
- Capture and report KME/HCP medical insights using Veeva
- Inform medical and clinical strategies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced Scientific or Clinical degree is required (NP, PA); Doctoral level degree strongly preferred (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP)
- 3+ years of Rheumatology/Dermatology Medical Science Liaison experience is required
- Must reside within the boundaries of the territory covering LA, TN, IN, OH, and MI
- Effective communication
- Comfortable using and experimenting with technology; willingness and aptitude to learn new tools and systems
- Delivers reliably against goals and meets or exceeds metrics and KPIs
- Understands industry rules and is committed to following them
- Able to travel at least 60% of the time, including overnight and occasional weekend travel
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Authorization and ability to drive a company leased vehicle or rental
- Preference for clinical experience and subject matter expertise in systemic and/or cutaneous lupus (CLE)
