About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Engage with Key Medical Experts and other healthcare professionals to communicate the clinical and scientific narrative for Biogen’s therapies.
Serve as a credible medical/scientific expert supporting clinical decision-making related to disease states and Biogen products.
Build deep, strategic, long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Act as a responsive, solutions-driven partner to leaders in the medical community.
Engage in projects and initiatives aligned to US Medical strategy, objectives, and tactics.
Deliver against KME engagement plans in collaboration with field and non-field colleagues.
Navigate medical resources at healthcare offices.
Capture and report KME/HCP medical insights in Veeva accurately and consistently.
Help inform medical and clinical strategies.
Travel throughout the IN, MI, and OH territory at least 60% of the time, including overnight and occasional weekend travel.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Doctoral level degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP) in clinical/scientific related field is required.
3+ years of field MSL experience is required.
Must reside within the boundaries of IN, MI, OH.
Established relationships with healthcare professionals and key medical experts within the territory relevant to therapeutic area is required.
Able to travel at least 60% of the time, including ability to travel overnight and occasionally on weekends.
Must be 18 years of age or older with valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
Must have authorization and ability to drive a company leased vehicle or rental.
Clinical experience and subject matter expertise in the respective therapeutic area is optimal.
Subject matter expertise in nephrology, with a particular focus on C3G and IC-MPGN, is highly preferred.
Effective communication skills.
Comfortable using and experimenting with technology and new tools and systems.
Ability to deliver reliably against goals, metrics, and KPIs.
Understanding of industry rules and commitment to ethical conduct.
