About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the strategy and execution ensuring the company’s ERP system supports growth and increases efficiency
- Gather expectations across functions and manage the ERP development and adoption roadmap
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the CFO, COO, and executives regarding NetSuite capabilities and priorities
- Translate competing priorities into a single prioritized backlog
- Manage internal and external resources, including the NetSuite Specialist and managed-services partners
- Turn business requirements into a clear technical backlog and review delivered work
- Decide which projects run and in what order
- Create a development and onboarding plan for functions not yet using the system
- Manage vendors, partners, governance, budget, and build-versus-buy decisions
- Stabilize the current system, including through high season
- Own change control affecting financial statements or closed periods, including stakeholder sign-off and timing
- Set the working cadence and ensure knowledge is documented in runbooks
- Drive predictable monthly close, adoption, and efficiency across the business
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience as the end-to-end business owner of an ERP system, ideally NetSuite, in a lean startup or scale-up environment without a large team behind you
- Strong general understanding of how a business runs across finance, supply chain, operations and sales channels
- Ability to judge what is worth fixing and translate it into requirements someone technical can build
- Experience in a consumer products, e-commerce or hardware business selling across several channels, including own webshop, marketplaces such as Amazon, and retail partners
- Ideally experience with subscriptions and carrying a system through a peak season without regression
- Pragmatic, down-to-earth approach; ability to diagnose before prescribing and explain the business case for a change
- Experience holding authority over vendors and budget and making build-versus-buy decisions
- 8+ years of experience, with several years spent owning or leading a system, program, or team
- Fluent working English
- Hands-on NetSuite OneWorld experience, multi-subsidiary and multi-currency (nice to have)
- Product management background (nice to have)
