About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build A/B and multivariate test variants in React and Next.js using TypeScript
Integrate and configure the experimentation platform, including feature flags, targeting, rollout and clean-up
Promote winning variants to production-quality code and remove unsuccessful variants
Work with the Data Analyst to ensure tests are measured correctly
Maintain fast and accessible pages with unit and end-to-end tests on experiment code
Help define processes for turning ideas into tests and launching, reviewing and closing tests
Suggest future tests based on code analysis and test results
Collaborate with the Senior Experimentation Strategist, Data Analyst, Engineering squads, QA, Product, Design/UX, Marketing and Customer Acquisition

Requirements

What you’ll need

Commercial experience, typically 3+ years, building production web apps in React and TypeScript
Strong React development skills
Next.js preferred
Hands-on experience with A/B testing or feature-flag platforms such as Optimizely, GrowthBook, LaunchDarkly, Statsig or VWO
Understanding of experimentation fundamentals, including control vs variant, sample size, and why tests should not be stopped early
Experience with performance, accessibility and automated testing, such as Jest, React Testing Library and Playwright
Experience using AI coding tools and informed views on them
Comfortable helping establish processes in a small team
Analytics tagging experience, such as GA4 or Google Tag Manager, nice to have
Insurance, financial services or conversion-focused e-commerce experience, nice to have
Server-side or edge experimentation and design systems experience, nice to have
