About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as functional owner for BUMED procurement, logistics, vendor pay, and travel workflows across the MM and SD modules
- Provide direct end-user support, guidance, field-level training, and second-tier issue resolution
- Manage DMLSS and successor-system logistics interfaces, including purchase order and goods receipt/acceptance files
- Monitor the WAWF vendor payment interface and resolve purchase order, receipt, acceptance, and invoice-matching discrepancies
- Manage travel financial reconciliations between obligations, vouchers, and Navy ERP postings
- Coordinate requirements with external data sources and systems, including the U.S. Bank purchase card interface
- Support audit-driven initiatives including ePS, MOCAS integration, G-Invoicing Phase 4, and Foreign Currency compliance
- Execute procurement and vendor-pay close activities, including commitment and obligation review, unmatched receipt and invoice cleanup, and interface exception clearance
- Develop and maintain process documentation suitable for formal SOPs
- Develop UAT test cases, execute MM/SD release and enhancement testing, and perform post-release verification
- Deliver training sessions, job aids, quick reference guides, and over-the-shoulder Microsoft Teams support
- Identify process improvement and automation candidates for the Annual Report
- Report to the Senior SAP Analyst – Technical Lead
Requirements
What you’ll need- U.S. citizenship; foreign nationals are not permitted access to the functional or system side of Navy ERP
- Eligible for a DoD Common Access Card (CAC)
- Able to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated background investigation; a Tier 3 (T3/T3R) or equivalent investigation is anticipated
- Interim approval is not authorized
- At least three (3) years of relevant experience, including at least two (2) years of direct experience with Navy ERP
- Experience acting as functional owner for logistics, procurement, and travel workflows, including direct user support and field-level training
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Access, Visio, and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to produce briefing slides, metric charts, program schedules, and organizational charts
- Ability to leverage Power BI, Power Automate, and generative AI tools
- Comfortable delivering over-the-shoulder user support through Microsoft Teams
- Ability to complete the Government onboarding package (OF-306, FD-258 fingerprints, e-QIP/SF-86, DISS profile, SAAR-N)
- Ability to complete required initial and annual training: Level I Antiterrorism Awareness, OPSEC Awareness, DoD Cyber Awareness, and CUI training
- Able to work onsite at DHHQ in Falls Church, VA approximately 20% of the time and support limited CONUS travel
- Desired: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, information systems, or related field
- Hands-on experience with Navy ERP MM/SD transactions
- Experience with DMLSS and/or successor system, WAWF, MOCAS, ePS, or G-Invoicing interfaces to Navy ERP
- Experience reconciling DTS travel obligations and vouchers to ERP postings
- Prior Navy general fund command comptroller, CST, or EBO experience; Navy Medicine logistics experience is a plus
- Current favorably adjudicated Tier 3 or higher background investigation or active Secret clearance
