About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Advise FTSE 100 and 250 companies on corporate and sustainability reporting requirements
Shape clients’ corporate reporting suites in line with current and forthcoming disclosure requirements
Provide strategic advice on corporate reporting, sustainability and wider communications
Develop strategic communications presentations and interim assessments of Annual Reports and Sustainability Reports
Conduct peer analysis, benchmarking, content audits, guideline development and ad hoc consultancy work
Present to senior client stakeholders
Conduct deep-dive research into clients’ corporate communications and assess effectiveness
Lead client workshops, presentations and external events on best-practice communication
Help devise and promote Black Sun’s communications offering
Develop team processes, methodologies and best-practice approaches
Provide guidance, education, support and expertise to junior Advisory team members and internal teams
Help pitch for and win new business
Develop and deliver research and benchmarking
Contribute to thought leadership and editorial productions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in communication roles, preferably in corporate reporting, financial PR or investor relations
Ideally, experience working with listed companies, presenting and advising on best-practice corporate reporting and communication
Familiarity with the UK corporate reporting and regulatory environment for investor and sustainability communications, including Annual and Sustainability Reports
Knowledge of relevant reporting frameworks, including TCFD, ISSB, CSRD, UKSRS, GRI, the UK Corporate Governance Code and Companies Act
Strong interest in business issues and company news
Ability to take ownership of work
Ability to work as part of a team
Attention to detail
Confident and professional presentation and written communication skills
Proactive approach
Eagerness to learn and improve
