About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide administrative and clinical oversight of the expanding therapy teams.

  • Provide regular 1:1 performance coaching, group supervision, and clinical mentoring.
  • Collaborate across Medical Services and Clinical Leadership to establish evidence-based treatment protocols.
  • Standardize clinical documentation and measure changes in client quality of life.
  • Support therapist recruitment and streamline onboarding.
  • Optimize schedule capacity so clinicians meet caseload goals without burnout.
  • Oversee continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure clinical workflows and regional delivery models comply with state regulations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
  • Active, unrestricted clinical license to practice psychotherapy in PA as an LCSW.
  • 5+ years of clinical operations leadership experience in a behavioral health setting, with proven depth as a Manager, Associate Director, or Director.
  • Proven track record of leading, coaching, and evaluating clinical site managers/supervisors.
  • Direct clinical background with a dedicated focus on pediatric, adolescent, and family mental health.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, scale, and retain multi-site or remote therapist teams in a growing environment.
  • Deep commitment to multi-disciplinary care, evidence-based pediatric and adolescent interventions, and outcome-driven therapeutic practices.
  • Ability to partner across Clinical Operations, Talent Acquisition, IT, and Quality.
  • Proficiency using outcome measures, productivity benchmarks, and scheduling metrics.
  • Strong understanding of state behavioral health regulatory requirements, clinical protocols, and quality improvement frameworks.
  • Nice to have: Dual licensure across multiple Blackbird active markets (PA, VA, NJ, MD).
  • Nice to have: Experience leading hybrid operations.
  • Nice to have: Background in developing formal clinical onboarding frameworks and continuing education tracks.
