About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and oversee group accounting operations across multiple entities, including record-to-report, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay and intercompany transactions
  • Manage, support and develop the existing accounting team
  • Introduce improved processes and ways of working
  • Own and continuously improve month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Oversee accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, payments and tax compliance
  • Lead group consolidation across multiple entities and currencies, including FX accounting and intercompany eliminations
  • Drive IFRS adoption and establish consistent group accounting policies, technical accounting documentation and reporting standards
  • Develop and maintain an effective internal control framework
  • Lead statutory audits and coordinate local statutory reporting requirements
  • Partner with FP&A on monthly management accounts, financial analysis, and board and investor reporting
  • Improve finance systems infrastructure, including accounting, billing, consolidation and payment processes
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and automate financial operations
  • Introduce AI and automation solutions for reconciliations, invoice processing, financial controls and reporting
  • Work across teams to ensure financial processes and systems support a growing international business
  • Report directly to the CFO

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Significant experience in financial controllership or senior group accounting roles, ideally within a high-growth SaaS or technology business
  • Strong technical accounting expertise, particularly IFRS, group consolidation and multi-entity, multi-currency reporting
  • Proven track record of building, improving or scaling accounting operations, ideally within a VC- or PE-backed business
  • Experience in external audit, ideally with a Big Four background, and a strong understanding of statutory audit requirements
  • Recognised accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent
  • Experience implementing or improving financial processes, internal controls and finance systems
  • Practical experience using technology, AI and automation to improve financial operations
  • Experience leading and developing accounting teams
  • Hands-on, proactive approach and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to balance operational requirements with longer-term improvements
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with international, remote teams
  • Nice to have: experience with channel-led SaaS, B2B2B or partner-driven revenue models
  • Nice to have: familiarity with cybersecurity, web infrastructure or related technology sectors
  • Nice to have: experience implementing ERP, billing, consolidation or financial automation platforms
  • Nice to have: knowledge of Estonian, UK or wider European accounting and statutory requirements
  • Nice to have: experience with scripting, workflow automation or AI agents for finance processes
  • Nice to have: exposure to fundraising, financial due diligence, M&A integration or debt financing
