About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work closely with the CTO to translate technical priorities, decisions, and objectives into actionable plans and clear ownership across teams
Coordinate communication between the CTO, engineering teams, and other stakeholders
Follow up on engineering initiatives, monitor progress through tools such as Jira, identify blockers, and drive accountability for deliverables
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, decision records, project updates, and execution materials
Facilitate engineering discussions, capture decisions, clarify next steps, and ensure commitments are followed through
Identify gaps, delays, dependencies, and communication issues, constructively challenging teams where needed
Establish lightweight processes and reporting practices that improve visibility without unnecessary bureaucracy
Act as a point of contact for operational and coordination matters within the CTO's organisation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong technical background, ideally in software engineering, technical programme management, engineering operations, or a similar role within a technology-driven organisation
Good understanding of web infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, software development, or related technical domains
Ability to understand complex technical discussions, identify key decisions and implications, and communicate them accurately to different audiences
Demonstrated experience coordinating technical teams, managing dependencies, and driving execution across multiple stakeholders
Excellent written communication, documentation, organisation, and follow-through
Confidence to challenge delays, clarify responsibilities, and hold people accountable without unnecessary friction
Strong judgement, discretion, maturity, and pragmatic problem-solving approach
Ability to operate independently while remaining aligned with the CTO's technical direction and priorities
Valuable experience in cybersecurity, bot mitigation, fraud prevention, web application security, or internet infrastructure
Valuable experience in engineering project delivery, technical programme management, or software development lifecycle coordination
Experience with Jira, Confluence, GitLab, or similar engineering collaboration tools would be valuable
Experience working directly with senior technical leaders in fast-growing technology companies would be valuable
