About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supports scheduling activities for assigned internal and external projects under the direction of the Project Manager, Senior or Lead professionals, or direct leadership.
- Creates, modifies, and analyzes resource-loaded Critical Path Method (CPM) project schedules and earned value-related dashboards and metrics.
- Builds initial resource-loaded baseline schedules in compliance with CPM best practices, contract requirements, and Blattner policies and procedures.
- Uses P6 health check to validate schedules against applicable DCMA metrics.
- Supports schedule risk/range analysis.
- Provides timely schedule updates, including weekly resource leveling, to meet contract deliverable dates.
- Applies schedule change scenarios, documents impacts, and escalates variances for mitigation planning.
- Develops contractually required and supplemental reports, including look-aheads, variance, and critical path reports.
- Provides field personnel training on project schedule systems, processes, and reports.
- Prepares schedule status updates and standard reports for leadership review.
- Provides current project schedules for monthly project review meetings and presents at customer meetings as requested.
- Prepares Time Impact Analyses to document delays and schedule impacts.
- Uploads schedule information to enterprise systems including Salesforce, JDE, and PM Web.
- Facilitates weekly project status and look-ahead meetings with site teams.
- Completes required training on policies, processes, tools, and systems.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Industrial Engineering Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field; or combinations of related education and experience required.
- 2 or more years of experience in project scheduling or a combination of experience in construction and scheduling.
- Proficient with scheduling software (Primavera, Microsoft Project).
- Sets the example of living Blattner’s values and adhering to the Blattner Basics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Working knowledge of Analytical Tools (I.e. -Acumen Fuse, PowerBI, Primavera Risk and Acumen Risk, etc.).
- Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentation, listening).
- Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks.
- This role will primarily be on project sites.
