About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, test, ship, and maintain features across card issuance, transaction processing, and disputes
  • Own well-scoped features end to end, from design through testing, launch, and operation
  • Write high-quality, well-tested code
  • Participate in design reviews and code reviews
  • Design and implement systems within microservice and event-driven architectures
  • Participate in operational ownership of tier-0 financial systems, including on-call, incident response, and postmortems
  • Leverage AI-powered tools throughout the development lifecycle to improve velocity and quality
  • Maintain high engineering standards
  • Learn from and support other engineers through code reviews and technical discussions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of software development or equivalent experience
  • Experience building and maintaining production software systems
  • Experience delivering well-scoped projects or features end-to-end (design, build, test, ship, operate) with guidance from more experienced engineers
  • Demonstrated AI fluency, including experience using AI-powered developer tools and critically evaluating and responsibly applying their outputs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Java and Kotlin
  • AWS
  • HTTP, JSON, gRPC, and Protocol Buffers
