About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, test, ship, and maintain features across transaction and labeling platforms
  • Write high-quality, well-tested code and participate in design and code reviews
  • Design and implement systems within microservice and event-driven architectures
  • Handle sensitive customer and financial data with care and correctness
  • Improve transaction data coverage, quality, and usability
  • Build self-serve tools and high-volume ingestion pipelines for product onboarding and entity labeling
  • Partner with Compliance, Risk, and product teams to turn regulatory and business requirements into reusable platform capabilities
  • Participate in on-call, incident response, and postmortems
  • Use AI-powered tools throughout the development lifecycle to improve velocity and quality
  • Support engineers through code reviews and technical discussions
  • Build and operate compliance infrastructure, including unified transaction search and entity labeling/workflow platforms

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of software development or equivalent experience
  • Experience building and maintaining production software systems
  • Experience delivering projects or features end-to-end with guidance from more experienced engineers
  • Full-stack experience across backend services and user interfaces
  • Ability to identify and fix flaws in complex systems
  • Ability to clarify partly specified problems
  • Track record of explaining technical tradeoffs in writing and in person
  • Demonstrated AI fluency, including experience using AI-powered developer tools and critically evaluating their outputs
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Preferred: experience building platforms or self-serve tools for engineering teams
  • Preferred: experience with search systems, data modeling, or bulk data ingestion at scale
  • Preferred: experience with sensitive data (PII, PCI) or privacy, security, or regulatory requirements
  • Preferred: experience integrating LLMs or agents into production workflows
  • Interest in compliance or financial technology is a plus
