About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the trading function for Germany, including stock availability, forecasting, waste reduction and site pricing
- Manage day-to-day and week-to-week stock with central planning, flower buying and operations teams
- Use historical data, customer behaviour and market calendars to forecast demand and minimise waste
- Contribute to longer-term forecasts and determine growth opportunities for specific SKUs and products
- Own site pricing and balance selling price against margin
- Collaborate with the range team on bestsellers, market needs and pricing architecture
- Own the on-site experience through stock levels, product naming and product ordering
- Manage demand drivers and testing for current market conditions
- Manage the Germany on-site A/B testing roadmap from idea to launch
- Prepare and deliver peak trading for Christmas, Valentine's Day and Mother's Day
- Prepare regular trading meeting agendas and provide market context for decision-making
- Build relationships with operations, central planning, range and product design teams
- Work with UK and Netherlands trading teams and support trading in other markets
- Build and embed AI tools and agents into daily trading and collaborate on wider AI projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant experience, preferably in an operational, analytical, financial or consulting role
- Collaborative, with excellent communication, relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive ownership and ability to balance multiple projects and priorities
- Intellectual curiosity and problem-solving ability
- Attention to detail and consistently excellent work delivery
- Empathetic, customer-first decision-making
- Innovative approach and interest in new technology, testing, learning and experimentation
- Proven experience using AI tools to improve work, such as automating reports or streamlining analysis
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets ability
- Comfortable managing, building and interpreting data models
- Analytical mindset and demonstrable strong numerical skills
- Fluent English speaker (C2)
- Strong German language skills are a plus
- Background in STEM is a plus
