About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and deploy platform and admin services supporting Bloomreach SaaS products
Develop features used by thousands of customers
Design, build, and deploy complete projects
Review teammates’ GitLab merge requests
Create technical design documents and refine proposals with teammates and product managers
Improve logging and alerting for high-uptime components
Write unit tests, create merge requests, deploy dev instances, perform smoke tests, and merge changes for production releases
Advise teams on authorization API integration
Break down project tasks in Jira and coordinate work with teammates
Operate high-reliability production deployments
Contribute to services including MCP APIs, customer provisioning and licensing, user management, authentication and authorization, configuration management, and customer integration tools

Requirements

What you’ll need

Active user of AI coding tools such as Cursor and Claude Code
5+ years developing backend services with Python using a variety of data systems
Understanding of web security principles, including OWASP, authentication, and authorization practices
Experience designing APIs for a SaaS product
Experience operating services in production on public cloud infrastructure
Some experience with Java/Spring or Go
Exposure to web frontend development with Angular or React
Ability to work across distributed cloud environments and varied technology stacks
Ability to organize technical work and maintain trust and respect across multiple teams, geographic regions, and departments
Ability to share expertise, guide less experienced team members, and document work
