About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive strategic growth and new business efforts for the Components product line
  • Respond to customer inquiries and RFIs/RFPs with support from the Components product line
  • Monitor the customer inquiry inbox daily and help determine responses
  • Engage customers through existing and new network connections to grow business opportunities
  • Maintain the CRM tool for emerging and near-term contracts
  • Determine Price to Win and collaborate on pricing strategies
  • Track industry trends, economic forces, and competitor information and provide recommendations to management
  • Contribute to Long Range Plan forecasting with product line managers, finance, and leadership
  • Support transition of new contracts to product and functional teams
  • Use customer insights and market data to inform product line roadmaps
  • Collaborate with marketing and product line managers on marketing materials, press releases, and social media posts
  • Lead cross-functional proposal teams to deliver competitive proposals on time
  • Promote information sharing across lines of business to capture market share and support product roadmaps
  • Prioritize prospective business in a fast-paced environment
  • Potentially manage personnel
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Engineering, Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline
  • 7-12 years of experience
  • Proficient working on interdisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical and software engineers
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Willingness to share and transfer knowledge
  • Able to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic team setting
  • Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education
  • Fundamental understanding of and genuine motivation and curiosity for the aerospace/space industry
  • Ability to prioritize prospective business in a fast-paced environment
  • Technical and professional skills
  • Strong problem-solving and self-motivation
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%
  • Ability to sit for long periods and perform occasional standing, bending, reaching, walking, and light physical effort
  • Ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
