About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage all recruitment activity, including advertising roles, screening applicants and arranging interviews
- Build and manage candidate pipelines from junior to senior levels
- Manage onboarding and provide ongoing employee support
- Handle contract amendments, exit interviews and offboarding
- Advise line managers and senior leadership on HR matters
- Coach and train managers on difficult conversations
- Manage sickness absence and return-to-work processes
- Monitor employee satisfaction and recommend improvements
- Coordinate biannual reviews and calibration sessions
- Create and update policies and the employee handbook in line with employment law
- Own legal compliance with support from an external HR consultancy
- Manage the HRIS and train the team to use it
- Maintain confidential documentation in line with privacy legislation
- Develop HR reporting and automate processes where possible
- Support payroll processes as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- CIPD Level 3 qualification as a minimum; Level 5 ideally
- Strong, proven recruitment experience
- Solid generalist HR background across the full employee lifecycle
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law
- Clear, direct communication skills
- Confidence handling tough conversations and training others
- Mental Health First Aid trained, or happy to become so
- People-first approach with understanding of the commercial side of an agency
- Ability to work at pace, adapt quickly and tackle challenges proactively
- Right to work in the UK
- Currently based in the UK
- Customer service or operations experience desirable
- HRIS experience desirable; BambooHR a bonus
