About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own and manage the end-to-end accounting function, from client billing setup and invoicing to revenue recognition and monthly close
Lead preparation of accurate and timely GAAP-compliant financial statements
Partner with Sales, Legal, and Customer Success on contract setup and billing accuracy
Establish and improve processes for invoicing, collections, revenue tracking, and cost allocations
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, revenue, accounts receivable, and deferred revenue
Manage bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close procedures
Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and internal controls
Support internal and external audits, compliance reporting, and tax filings
Evaluate, implement, and optimize accounting systems and tools
Advise strategically on financial operations, reporting, and planning initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 3+ years in a managerial or senior-level role
Strong knowledge of GAAP, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and financial reporting
Experience in SaaS or subscription-based businesses highly preferred
Proven ability to build and scale accounting operations in a fast-growing company
Familiarity with ERP systems and billing platforms, such as Rillet, QuickBooks, Stripe, Ramp, Aleph, or similar
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Prior experience working in a startup or fast-paced, high-growth environment is required
Comfort with cross-functional collaboration
CPA preferred but not required
