About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as Blueland's first dedicated Enterprise Systems and IT leader, reporting to the CFO
  • Own Blueland's enterprise systems and day-to-day IT operations
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Data & Analytics and other functions to improve business processes
  • Own and execute the NetSuite enhancement roadmap, including configuration, workflows, reporting, integrations and process improvements
  • Administer and troubleshoot NetSuite and manage work performed by the NetSuite managed service provider
  • Own NetSuite integrations with ecommerce, EDI, 3PL/fulfillment and other enterprise applications
  • Establish governance over roles, permissions, configurations, workflows and system changes
  • Lead testing, documentation, training and change management for significant enhancements
  • Own the enterprise systems project pipeline from business need through implementation and ongoing optimization
  • Establish intake and prioritization processes for systems requests and maintain the enterprise systems roadmap
  • Lead systems implementations, coordinating business owners, external vendors and other resources
  • Serve as the primary internal owner and hands-on point of contact for employee IT needs
  • Manage IT requests, tickets, onboarding, offboarding, access provisioning, devices and technology documentation
  • Own relationships with IT MSPs, NetSuite MSPs and other enterprise technology vendors
  • Manage vendor evaluation, onboarding, contracting, implementation, performance, renewal and offboarding
  • Manage technology spend and coordinate with cybersecurity and infrastructure partners
  • Govern core enterprise applications, including access, permissions, licensing, configuration and change management
  • Evaluate new systems and implement automation and AI across enterprise platforms and business processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in enterprise systems, business applications, ERP, IT/business technology or related roles
  • Strong hands-on NetSuite experience, ideally supporting both Finance and Operations in a growing organization
  • Strong understanding of business processes including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory, fulfillment and financial close
  • Experience administering enterprise applications and troubleshooting day-to-day systems issues
  • Experience managing NetSuite consultants, MSPs, technology vendors and other external technical resources
  • Experience leading systems implementations and integrations from requirements through go-live and ongoing optimization
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage a portfolio of competing systems priorities
  • Experience leveraging AI and automation tools to improve business processes, systems administration or employee productivity, with an interest in staying current as these capabilities evolve
  • Working knowledge of IT fundamentals including user provisioning, identity and access management, endpoint/device management, SaaS administration and IT support processes
  • Strong business judgment and an ability to distinguish between problems that require technology investment and those better solved through process changes
  • Ability to translate between business and technical audiences
  • Experience in consumer products, retail, e-commerce or another omnichannel environment is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with e-commerce, EDI, 3PL/fulfillment and related integrations strongly preferred
