About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide estimating support to Outside Sales, Customer Service, and customers
- Prepare accurate and timely estimates and quotations with pricing, specifications, and supporting documentation
- Review and interpret construction documents, contract drawings, and project specifications
- Identify potential issues and generate Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Maintain detailed quote records and Quote Log activity
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, customers, designers, installers, contractors, and end users
- Provide product recommendations, technical guidance, and value-added solutions
- Maintain expert knowledge of ASC Building Products, AEP Span, Steel Deck, and related products
- Advise stakeholders on product selection, specification compliance, and application suitability
- Execute estimating strategies and sales support initiatives
- Support order fulfillment, order management, customer inquiries, and workload balancing
- Support onboarding and training of new Customer Service Representatives and other team members
- Provide cross-functional estimating support across business divisions
- Meet or exceed KPIs, productivity goals, and departmental objectives
- Follow up on quoted opportunities to drive project closure and business growth
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- In lieu of degree, 2-year Associate degree and 3+ years of experience in Estimating, Project Management, or a related discipline
- Experience with AutoCAD and other estimating software programs
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience in Estimating, Project Management, or a related discipline
- Construction management or construction-related work experience and/or equivalent combination of education and training in building construction
- Understanding of installation techniques and terminology
