About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze, draft, review, and negotiate service agreements, technology contracts, leases, commercial partnership agreements, amendments, and other legal instruments.
- Serve as a legal partner to the Bank’s corporate departments and the companies within the Bmg Financial Group, supporting the formalization of engagements and business initiatives.
- Provide legal advisory support to client departments during contract negotiations, identifying risks and proposing legally sound solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Draft legal opinions, memoranda, and responses to inquiries involving contractual and advisory matters.
- Provide legal support for processes led by the Procurement department, ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and market best practices.
- Draft, review, and enhance agreements related to the franchise network and the Group’s other commercial partners.
- Monitor and interpret legislation and regulations applicable to the engagements under the attorney’s responsibility.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Franchising, Technology, Operations, Compliance, Information Security, Data Governance, and other internal departments.
- Participate in the development and updating of standard templates, playbooks, internal guides, and the Legal department’s knowledge bases.
- Contribute to the modernization and digital transformation of the Legal department, including contract automation, knowledge management, and continuous process improvement projects.
- Help advance contract management tools and digital workflows, supporting initiatives involving the application of artificial intelligence to legal practice.
- Pursue simplification, standardization, and greater efficiency in legal activities while preserving legal certainty.
- Share knowledge, promote best practices, and contribute to team development.
- Work with autonomy, an ownership mindset, and a focus on practical business solutions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Law and active membership in the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB).
- Previous experience in legal advisory work focused on contracts.
- Experience analyzing, drafting, and negotiating contracts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborative profile and a team-oriented approach.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple demands simultaneously.
- Practical business acumen and the ability to develop objective legal solutions.
- Interest in innovation, technology, and digital transformation applied to the legal field.
- Adaptability to work in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment.
- Preferred: experience with technology, software, cloud, personal data, or artificial intelligence contracts.
- Preferred: knowledge of Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD).
- Preferred: experience with contract management platforms (Webdox, Oracle, or similar tools).
- Preferred: participation in Legal Operations (Legal Ops), contract automation, or knowledge management projects.
- Preferred: familiarity with AI tools applied to legal work.
