About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance the systems that make up the Core Banking platform, with a focus on checking account and financial transaction processes
  • Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure solutions to support critical banking operations
  • Develop integrations between internal systems and strategic vendor platforms, such as Matera, CCS, and other solutions within the banking ecosystem
  • Actively participate in software architecture definition, contributing to technical decisions and the technological evolution of the environment
  • Ensure delivery quality by applying development best practices, conducting code reviews, implementing automated testing, and maintaining observability
  • Identify and resolve complex issues in production environments, performing root-cause analysis and proposing continuous improvements
  • Work closely with business, architecture, infrastructure, and vendor teams to understand and implement requirements
  • Provide technical support to junior and mid-level developers, promoting knowledge sharing and the standardization of practices
  • Participate in the planning and execution of technology modernization initiatives, technical debt reduction, and system performance improvements
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, information security, and technology governance requirements applicable to the banking environment
  • Contribute to the evolution of development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong software development experience using C# and .NET Framework/.NET Core/.NET 8+
  • Experience analyzing, developing, and supporting highly available, mission-critical systems
  • Advanced knowledge of relational databases, particularly SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL
  • Knowledge of non-relational databases
  • Experience creating and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and data models
  • Knowledge of distributed systems architecture and application integration
  • Experience with REST APIs, messaging, and service-to-service communication
  • Experience with version control using Git
  • Knowledge of secure development principles and software engineering best practices
  • Experience with unit testing, continuous integration, and code reviews
  • Ability to work independently to solve complex problems and make technical decisions
  • Preferred: experience in financial institutions, digital banks, or fintechs
  • Preferred: knowledge of banking processes and products related to checking accounts
  • Preferred: experience with integrations involving Matera and CCS platforms
  • Preferred: knowledge of observability, monitoring, and application performance analysis
  • Preferred: experience with event-driven architecture and messaging (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar technologies)
