About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive automation, digital transformation, and continuous improvement across the Finance function
- Work with the Group Finance team and business stakeholders to modernise financial processes
- Use Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Power Platform, IFS Cloud, Power BI, Data Warehouse solutions, and other digital technologies
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate financial activities
- Design and implement automated workflows
- Translate finance processes into scalable, system-driven solutions
- Support the ongoing development of management accounting, financial accounting, and treasury processes
- Review existing workflows and document processes
- Assess improvement opportunities and deliver practical solutions with measurable value
- Support reporting templates, management reporting, treasury reporting, budget preparation, and audit activities
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
- Collaborate across Finance and the wider business on cross-functional automation initiatives
- Share knowledge and promote best practice
- Monitor emerging technologies and recommend beneficial tools and approaches
- Provide support and cover for other Finance team members as required
- Undertake other duties reasonably necessary to support the role and wider business objectives

Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrable analytical capability, with practical experience in applying finance knowledge to interpret financial results and metrics, identify issues, and challenge outputs
- Understanding of core finance concepts, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and reconciliations
- Familiarity with project accounting and utilisation concepts relevant to project-based or long-term contract environments
- Ability to apply finance knowledge when designing, redesigning, or automating processes
- Experience with financial reporting, management accounts, or audit processes
- Experience identifying or resolving data or reporting issues
- Practical use of AI tools, including Copilot, preferred
- Experience using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps, or similar tools, preferred or willingness to learn
- Experience using AI tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot to drive productivity improvements, preferred
- Strong interest in digital enablement and continuous improvement, with evidence of implementing process changes
- Professional manner and open, interpersonal style
- Ability to work with people at all levels within large global organisations
- Ability to build positive and effective working relationships

- Good verbal and written communication skills
