About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of BMT’s Integrated Strategic Business Plan (ISBP)
  • Bring together market insight, strategic priorities, operational plans and financial data into a cohesive organisational roadmap
  • Design and deliver an effective planning process
  • Create governance, tools, timelines and frameworks supporting informed decision-making
  • Work closely with senior leaders, including the Executive Leadership Team and Senior Leadership Team
  • Synthesise complex information from multiple sources and identify key themes and insights
  • Communicate insights clearly and accessibly to diverse audiences
  • Provide decision support and coordinate market and business insights
  • Shape strategic conversations and maintain alignment with BMT’s long-term ambitions
  • Build trusted relationships, challenge constructively and bring stakeholders together around a shared direction

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience may come from strategy, planning, consulting, transformation, finance, operations, programme delivery or another related field
  • Ability to bring people together, solve complex challenges and help organisations move forward
  • Ability to communicate complex information as clear, practical messages
  • Ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders, listen carefully, influence positively and provide constructive challenge
  • Strong organisation and planning skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes
  • Curiosity, thoughtfulness and eagerness to learn
  • Collaborative and approachable approach to building trusted relationships across teams, functions and regions
  • Adaptability and resilience when priorities shift
  • Personal accountability and attention to detail
  • Confidence to work independently and know when to involve others
  • Experience in business planning, strategy, transformation, market analysis, financial planning or preparing materials for executive audiences is beneficial but not essential
  • A degree, professional qualification or analyst background may be helpful but is not essential
