About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee a portfolio of Third-Party Logistics Carriers (3PLs) while supporting assigned market stores across the region
Drive operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and financial performance
Oversee up to 100 daily delivery routes and ensure successful delivery of up to 1,250 customer orders daily
Partner with internal stakeholders and 3PL providers to drive service excellence, cost savings, and routing efficiencies
Monitor and improve regional performance in sales, delivery success, and customer satisfaction
Collaborate with departments including Store Operations, DC Operations, and Inventory Control
Identify improvement areas, analyze data, and implement impactful process changes
Enhance depot and store delivery performance through carrier performance management, depot audits, and customer experience initiatives
Lead strategic projects, including depot openings/closures and store delivery support
Conduct weekly carrier meetings and regular site inspections
Manage 3PL depot managers and regional delivery teams indirectly
Provide strategic leadership across the region
Travel nationally up to 50% and work Tuesday through Saturday, with occasional Monday work due to volume needs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years in transportation logistics management
5+ years of successful multi-unit retail or delivery operations experience
Strong data analysis and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams and external partners
Proven record of mentoring, developing, and retaining high-performance teams
Skilled in holding team members and carriers accountable to KPIs and standards
Ability to empower others while maintaining oversight of delivery outcomes
Track record of driving strategic initiatives to measurable success
Uses judgment to make timely, effective decisions in high-pressure environments
Adept at root cause analysis and developing long-term solutions
Strong written/verbal communication across all organizational levels
Experienced in managing difficult carrier and team conversations constructively
Familiar with logistics technology (SAP / EWM), Microsoft Office Suite, and delivery tracking systems (DispatchTrack)
Skilled in managing $400M+ in delivered sales and analyzing key logistics metrics
Proven success improving logistics workflows and reducing delivery-related costs
Ability to implement regional strategies aligned with broader company goals
Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, and lift/move up to 50 lbs without assistance
Move objects up to 100lbs with or without reasonable accommodations
Stand or sit for extended periods to perform job functions
