About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide Level 1 and 2 technical support for local and wide area network environments
- Resolve application software and hardware incidents and requests from identification through resolution
- Escalate complex problems to support specialists when necessary
- Ensure data integrity within the service desk system by accurately categorising incidents and logs
- Monitor and report on hardware, software, and network resources to maintain performance and security
- Document resolutions and update self-help resources
- Contribute to creating and maintaining knowledge base articles
- Adhere to IT support and service delivery standards, policies, and procedures
- Identify and recommend modifications and improvements
- Configure new technologies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required; Information Technology or Computer Science preferred
- Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered
- Minimal experience in service desk support, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues for end-users preferred
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification preferred
- Experience in technical incident management and resolution preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft SQL (Structured Query Language), web-based technologies, troubleshooting, and incident management
- Excellent communication, planning and prioritisation, and analytical communication skills
