About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide physician support as applicable and comprehensive nursing care to patients and families under physician direction
  • Support the Practice Manager in coordinating and leading practice personnel
  • Demonstrate clinical expertise in the assigned patient specialty
  • Monitor patient flow and optimize practice visit times; communicate delays to patients
  • Receive patients, escort them to exam rooms, and prepare them for exams
  • Obtain and record vital signs, height and weight, major complaint, medications, and allergies
  • Collect specimens according to collection, storage, and recording protocols
  • Administer medications as governed by licensure, training, and demonstrated competency
  • Perform quarterly audits and report outcomes to the hospital Performance Improvement Department

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of an practical nursing program
  • Licensed in State of Ohio as LPN
  • BLS
  • Experience in nursing leadership desired
  • Experience in an outpatient environment, or physician’s practice strongly desired
