About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage Operation Integration Specialists (OIS) in administrative and clinical practice transformation programs and alternative payment models
- Educate the OIS team on elements, measures, tasks, and tools supporting practice transformation functions and activities
- Provide leadership, motivation, and guidance to keep projects moving toward successful completion
- Maintain working knowledge of care models, data elements, tools, and resources
- Liaise between the OIS team and population health teams, monitoring and escalating issues, challenges, barriers, and successes
- Manage OIS team activities, including rounding schedules, communications, issue resolution, provider onboarding workflows, and government reporting requirements
- Develop and maintain team plans covering resources, tasks, timelines, program requirements, and government deadlines
- Support providers and care teams in implementing process and quality improvement activities and workflows
- Educate and communicate with providers as the primary resource for alternative payment practice transformation programs
- Manage collection, analysis, translation, and reporting of quality and performance metrics
- Collaborate with data analytics and EPIC EHR teams to obtain actionable information for improving patient care, population health, and cost of care
- Direct collection, tracking, analysis, and reporting of practice demographics and transformation activities
- Attend required training, education, and learning events
- Serve as subject matter expert on government alternative payment models
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or nursing-related field
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration or nursing-related field preferred
- 5 years of experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting, preferably in a leadership role in a highly matrixed organization
- Subject Matter Expert in physician practice operations and practice transformation activities
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a stressful medical environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage time, priorities, and resources
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with ability to adapt communication style to engage target audience
- Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel locally and regionally
- Ability to plan, hold, and facilitate meetings and networking events
- Working knowledge of EHRs, preferably EPIC
- Working knowledge and familiarization with process improvement models such as PDSA, A3, CQI, Lean, and Six Sigma
- Ability to travel up to 10% per year
