About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute sourcing initiatives with Leadership-level accountability
  • Manage purchases and oversee process flow through applicable systems
  • Collaborate, troubleshoot, communicate, and manage timelines and budgets
  • Assess opportunities, formulate sourcing strategies, and interact with business partners and key stakeholders
  • Build strategic alliances with clients and suppliers to execute the organization’s purchasing strategy
  • Support Strategic Sourcing initiatives through product research, cost analysis, and presentations
  • Develop and implement strategies and processes to reduce supply expense while maintaining quality of care
  • Monitor, communicate, and improve assigned scope
  • Collaborate with members, including physicians, to identify and formulate improvement and standardization for assigned categories
  • Manage sourcing initiatives including scoping analysis, RFP development, proposal evaluations, negotiations, recommendation communication, contracting, supplier management, and budget oversight
  • Monitor and report initiative and contract budgets; identify recurring trends and vendor or internal improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with legal to negotiate valuable contracts on behalf of the organization or membership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Analytics, Healthcare (required; Roper only: Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree)
