About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own features and services end to end across the Rails product app, Python ML/CV services, agent SDK layer, and data platform
  • Improve scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency of computer vision, LLM, and VLM inference pipelines
  • Build and improve model infrastructure, including vision model integration, LLM orchestration, agent workflows, MLflow registry, and evaluation harnesses
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and write design documentation
  • Raise engineering quality through thoughtful code review
  • Share knowledge and mentor teammates
  • Partner with product and engineering teammates to scope work and evaluate build-versus-buy decisions
  • Turn customer needs into reliable software
  • Write and ship production code regularly
  • Troubleshoot issues and participate in incident response

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience building production software
  • Strong experience in Rails or Python applications, production computer vision pipelines, LLM/agent systems, or data-intensive B2B SaaS
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP
  • PostgreSQL experience
  • Experience with background job or messaging systems such as Sidekiq or RabbitMQ
  • Familiarity with modern deployment practices
  • Experience owning features or services from technical design through deployment and ongoing operation
  • Strong coding, debugging, and code review skills
  • Recent experience shipping production code
  • Familiarity with SRE and DevOps practices such as CI/CD, Kubernetes, or Helm
  • Ability to collaborate with dedicated SRE teammates
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the United States is requested in the application
  • Bonus: construction, AEC, or vertical-SaaS experience; or experience helping a product scale at a growing startup
