About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own a system, feature area, or larger technical scope
- Make trade-off decisions considering customer and business cost
- Use and improve the company agentic framework with prompts, configurations, workflows, and guardrails
- Anticipate AI-specific failure modes including hallucination, drift, and prompt injection
- Own quality for the area, strengthen automated agentic testing, and reduce escaped defects
- Lead design discussions and write design documents
- Mentor engineers and coach them on using the framework
- Influence decisions across pods and lead cross-pod initiatives
- Advise engineering leadership and set technical strategy at broader scope
- Drive experiments and package learnings for others
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of owning a system or feature area
- Daily, fluent use of AI-assisted development, with code you understand and can defend
- Experience mentoring other engineers and leading design discussions
- Experience owning quality for a production area, including automated testing and escaped-defect trends
- Clear written communication, including design docs other engineers rely on
- No relocation or sponsorship offered
- C2C candidates will not be utilized
