About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide practical and commercially minded advice on employee relations matters
- Support performance, conduct and grievance matters
- Conduct and support workplace investigations
- Support change initiatives and industrial relations activities
- Work closely with leaders, People & Culture Business Partners and key stakeholders
- Coach and educate leaders on employee relations matters
- Identify opportunities to continuously improve employee relations practices and processes
- Manage complex employee relations cases from start to finish
- Balance business outcomes with employee experience
- Contribute to positive, fair, respectful and inclusive workplace outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong foundation in employee relations
- Strong understanding of Australian employment and industrial relations legislation
- Experience managing complex employee relations cases from start to finish
- Ability to advise, coach and educate leaders
- Ability to manage investigations, grievances and performance matters
- Ability to translate complex legislation and risk considerations into practical advice
- Clear communication and effective influencing skills
- Ability to work with stakeholders ranging from frontline leaders to senior leadership and external representatives
- Background screening, including identity verification, reference checks, criminal background checks, immigration checks, academic qualification verification and bankruptcy checks, as a condition of employment
