About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide Line 2 oversight, advice and challenge across scam risk management activities
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to strengthen controls, improve governance and embed scam prevention frameworks
  • Collaborate with Risk, Financial Crime, Product, Customer Relations, Legal and Regulatory Affairs teams
  • Support development of governance frameworks
  • Drive meaningful risk and compliance reporting
  • Influence risk outcomes and help the business understand its regulatory obligations
  • Contribute to strategic uplift initiatives and strengthen organisational readiness for evolving scams regulations
  • Help shape scam risk and obligation management across BOQ Group

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in risk or compliance
  • Experience in fraud, scams or financial crime
  • Solid understanding of governance frameworks, oversight activities and risk management principles
  • Ability to provide constructive challenge and ask thoughtful questions
  • Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical actions
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all organisational levels
  • Background screening as a condition of employment, including identity, reference, criminal background, immigration, academic qualification and bankruptcy checks
