About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Process and submit customs entries accurately and in a timely manner
- Review documentation for completeness and compliance with US Customs regulations
- Communicate with clients, carriers, and brokers to resolve issues and facilitate timely shipment clearance
- Maintain up-to-date records in internal systems and client databases
- Help identify process improvements to manage volume efficiently
- Provide administrative support and assist with additional operational tasks as needed
- Coordinate and file required documentation for Partner Government Agencies, including the FDA, to ensure regulatory compliance and timely clearance
- Work a standard 40-hour schedule with potential additional hours and overtime as needed for 24/7/365 operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of experience in customs brokerage, logistics, or ecommerce operations (preferred)
- Familiarity with US Customs procedures and entry types, including Section 321, informal, and formal entries
- Strong attention to detail and high data accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines in a remote setting
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using brokerage or logistics platforms and Excel/Google Sheets
- Proficiency in English is required
- Knowledge of Spanish is considered an asset
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and reliability
- Proficiency with computers and software
- Detail-oriented, resourceful, and eager to learn
- Must be a team player
- Candidates must reside and work from within the United States
