About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee the total operation of the assigned Pump & Pantry location
  • Hire, discipline, and terminate personnel with District Manager and Corporate Human Resources involvement
  • Maintain labor within budget and post schedules two weeks in advance
  • Oversee expenses and profitability, including reviewing monthly P&L statements
  • Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted on time
  • Open and close shifts and complete required paperwork
  • Ensure customer needs are met according to company service standards
  • Supervise cash control and bank deposits
  • Resolve customer, personnel, and equipment issues
  • Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and equipment
  • Ensure accurate ordering, stocking, and pricing of products
  • Implement and reinforce company training programs
  • Supervise and train personnel, including food handling and product standards
  • Ensure proper food storage, dating, and temperature control
  • Ensure adequate staffing for all shifts
  • Complete performance and wage reviews
  • Enforce uniform, appearance, company policy, and procedure standards
  • Report key operational issues to upper management
  • Maintain operational records and a safe, healthy workplace
  • Conduct team meetings and attend management and training meetings
  • Operate QSRs when the store has a quick-service restaurant unit
  • Perform additional market-specific duties such as managing higher-volume locations, enhanced merchandising or food service, complex staffing, expanded offerings, additional vendors, and support for other locations
  • Directly supervise employees at the location
  • Assist with other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of one to three years’ experience as an Assistant Manager required
  • Must be able to attain food safety manager certification within six months of offer
  • Must have knowledge of operations and maintenance of all equipment in the store
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Able to reliably work 45 to 48 hours per week
  • Must have reliable transportation and phone
  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Must be able to communicate in English
  • Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to frequently walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear
  • Must be able to occasionally sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Physical attendance at the primary work location is required
