About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve customers in a professional, quick and courteous manner
- Arrive in a clean and proper uniform with a clean and neat appearance
- Greet customers and operate the POS system
- Make change properly and use credit card equipment
- Open and close shifts, including completing paperwork
- Process all sales quickly and accurately
- Stock and correctly price items
- Check in vendor deliveries and assist in ordering
- Understand fuel inventory reports
- Clean and sanitize equipment and perform simple maintenance
- Keep the store clean and neat inside and outside
- Recognize problems and report them to management
- Handle and store food products in compliance with food handling guidelines
- Follow cooking procedures and temperature-holding requirements
- Store, rotate, code-date, and maintain proper temperatures for food products
- Test food temperatures for safety and quality control
- Provide friendly and competent customer service
- Maintain timely and consistent attendance
- Assist with other assigned duties
- No supervisory responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Retail or guest service experience preferred
- Able to work the POS system efficiently
- Ability to read, write and perform math skills
- Must possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude
- Must be flexible with the ability to adapt to change when required
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills
- Must be well groomed and properly attired
- Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and any shift needed
- Must have reliable transportation and phone
- Must be able to communicate in English
- Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service
- Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs.
- Able to frequently walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear
- Able to occasionally sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
