Shop Technician – Entry Level
Bosselman Enterprises. Complete assigned training programs, evaluations, and e-learning within designated timeframes .
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete assigned training programs, evaluations, and e-learning within designated timeframes
- Perform preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacement
- Grease trucks and trailers
- Perform tire repair, replacement, and related services
- Conduct CSA inspections and emergency road service calls
- Perform basic electrical diagnosis and repairs, including lighting, wiring, and 7-way replacements
- Perform minor trailer maintenance and body repairs
- Conduct basic air system repairs, including airline replacement, fittings, glad hands, and splices
- Perform battery testing and replacement
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and work areas
- Ensure tools, equipment, and service vehicles are clean, functional, and properly maintained
- Properly store parts, tires, and supplies
- Accurately complete work orders, including labor, parts, and customer information
- Ensure total customer satisfaction and uphold company integrity
- Follow company safety policies and procedures
- Complete OSHA Skills Demonstration and required safety training
- Maintain current LMS training requirements
- Provide friendly, professional, and competent customer service
- Report to work as scheduled and on time
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- DOT Medical Card required at Boss Shops
- Ability to obtain ASE, DOT, and other relevant certifications as required
- Successful completion of internal technician training programs
- Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured to drive company vehicles
- Reliable transportation and phone
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and as needed
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (if applicable)
- Demonstrated commitment to friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service
- Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with team members
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday
- Ability to work in shop and roadside environments under varying conditions
- Physical attendance at the primary work location is required
