About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide administrative oversight, business management, and program development for one or more ambulatory services
- Ensure optimal patient access, customer satisfaction, and cost-effective practice management
- Collaborate with Medical Directors and the Nurse Manager in a matrix management team
- Supervise administrative and non-clinical support staff
- Monitor compliance with managed care plans
- Establish work procedures and standards to improve practice efficiency and effectiveness
- Identify opportunities to increase patient volume and services while controlling expenses
- Conduct ongoing leadership training for staff
- Foster and respond to customer satisfaction
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree of Arts or Science or equivalent work experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent plus 5–7 years of related experience
- At least 3 years of management and budget experience
- Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related fields strongly preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical operations, hospital financial and human resources policies and procedures
- Understanding of hospital and physician reimbursement and applicable external regulations and legal requirements
- Ability to use computerized healthcare information systems, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation applications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
