About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own Orchestrator’s product backlog end-to-end, including grooming, prioritization, dependency management, and sprint readiness
- Ensure sprint items have clearly defined acceptance criteria to eliminate scope ambiguity and rework
- Frame backlog items as testable hypotheses where appropriate
- Lead sprint planning, refinement, review, and retrospective ceremonies
- Translate strategic direction into clear, well-scoped user stories
- Initiate and structure discovery work each sprint cycle, including user feedback synthesis, assumption mapping, and delivery retrospectives
- Provide evidence-based recommendations
- Clarify requirements during development, unblock engineers, and protect sprint integrity
- Define, monitor, and report delivery health KPIs through Jira, including sprint predictability, defect leakage, and cycle time
- Contribute a delivery-informed perspective to roadmap and product direction discussions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in product ownership or a closely adjacent role in a tech company
- Ideally operated as the primary or sole Product Owner on a product
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, including development, staging, production, QA evaluation, and release
- Ability to independently own a full product backlog, including stories, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and prioritization
- Solid experience running Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Proficient with Jira for project, backlog, and sprint management
- Experience in an early-stage, high-growth, fast-paced startup environment
- Experience with MS Office/Excel, Google Suite, and Notion
- Ability to drive projects to completion with accountability and take calculated risks with the customer in mind
- Ability to start from customer needs and work backwards while managing tasks, resources, and priorities
- Proactive, clear, concise, and respectful communication; ability to challenge decisions and commit once decisions are made; actively seeks, gives, and acts on feedback
- Portuguese — Fluent
